1The problem
Dirt builds up inside
Over time, dirt and rust build up inside your pipes, radiators and boiler, causing cold spots and higher bills.

Typical power flush £500–£1,000, depending on how many radiators you have and the size of your system.
Radiators warm at the top and cold at the bottom mean sludge. It wastes money and wears your boiler out. Kent Powerflush flushes it out across East Kent and gets every radiator hot again.
Rust from inside your radiators turns into black sludge. It sinks to the bottom, blocks the flow and makes the boiler work harder for less heat.

That’s sludge
We flush the sludge out of every radiator, pipe and the boiler, then catch it on a magnetic filter.

Complete heat
Every radiator heats right across, every room warms up properly, and your boiler stops struggling.
A powerflush is worth doing when a new boiler or radiators go in, and whenever you notice any of these.

Warm at the top, cold at the bottom. Sludge has settled in the radiator.

Rooms take ages to heat, and some never get properly warm.

The boiler burns gas pushing water round a blocked system.

Sludge strains the pump and heat exchanger. Breakdowns follow.

The pipes run hot, but the heat isn’t getting through to the radiators.

Dark, dirty water means sludge is building up in the system.
Sludge (black, rusty magnetite) has settled in the bottom of the radiator and is blocking the hot water. Letting air out won’t shift it; a powerflush will. Read more
Air or gas is trapped at the top. Letting it out with a radiator key usually fixes it. If it keeps coming back, corrosion inside the system is the likely cause. Read more
That’s called kettling. Sludge or limescale is restricting the flow through the boiler’s heat exchanger, so the water overheats in spots. Get it checked by a Gas Safe engineer. Read more
A sludged system makes the boiler work harder and run longer for less heat. Clearing it means the heat you pay for reaches your rooms. How much you save depends on how dirty the system was, so we won’t promise a number. Read more
